WELCOME TO OUR DREAM

Our company is very young, but we have already earned the recognition among our customers. Our family, friends, and coworkers are our biggest fans, and we feel grateful from the bottom of our hearts for their encouragement and support to continue following our dream.
My husband Mark and I decided to take up beekeeping to help save the bees and also put honey on our table where we knew the source.  I am Lithuanian, and honey is a staple of our cuisine. I always was looking for a natural raw honey to buy. So, why not have honey of your own. At first, Mark exhibited resistance to my seemingly wild beekeeping project.  It took a bit of persuasion before the seed of beekeeping started to grow. And here we go, after a few short years, we are taking care of beehives on multiple locations throughout Du Page and Will counties. And we continue to grow rapidly!
It seems that beekeeping is more than a hobby for us, it defines who we are.  Mark became very engaged in beekeeping and took responsibility to be a main beekeeper, while I took a supporting role as an assistant beekeeper.  I became very interested in cooking with honey. Knowing how much damage sugar, high fructose syrup and artificial sweeteners do to human body, I searched for ways to utilize honey instead.
I have always cooked from scratch, with the focus of avoiding chemicals, preservatives, artificial coloring and anything other unnatural additions.  I would rather make it all myself and take comfort in knowing what my family and I eat. I feel my contribution to people is sharing the goodness of honey, which is a golden standard for glucose and fructose required by human body. Recently I learned that taking 3 to 5 spoons of honey on regular basis feeds your brain and provides fuel for the rest of the human body.  Learning about the benefits of the honey is ongoing and exciting.  I truly think, honey is delicious in every state, either liquid, creamy, or crystallized. Here, in Midwest, spring brings flavors of dandelion, and summer is full of wildflowers and linden that melt in your mouth. Fall season brings a wonderful honey from goldenrod with its specific smell and unsurpassed flavor. So far, goldenrod honey is my favorite! I had never tasted this variety in the past and now I look forward to the next harvest.
This led me to cooking honey jellies and creating delicious flavor combinations. Since then, my role started to expand. I shared my vision with Mark, and he was very supportive of expanding the small honey jelly cooking idea.  I created an assortment of honey jelly condiments where honey is the main sweetener.  These jellies can accompany any meal, starting from appetizers and finishing with desserts.  Our selection also includes some old time favorites like jalapeno jelly and lime mint jelly with modern twists added.  All honey jellies are cooked in small batches to preserve the best quality and taste.
So, here we are, creators of Amber Hills Farm. We appreciate our fans and welcome new customers, and hope that we can together share our love for honey. If you are looking for raw honey or our other products, you can find us at local farmers’ markets or online. Our honey jellies and infusions offer a bouquet of flavor!  Don’t wait any longer to start your own honey jelly adventure!
